A man was arrested in St Albans in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, September 18) after failing to stop for police.
Officers arrested a 30-year old-man in Townsend Avenue on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink and drugs, theft, going equipped to steal and having a bladed article.
Residents were woken to the sound of police sirens during the early hours and claimed to have seen eight police cars shooting up and around St Albans town.
Herts Police have confirmed the man remains in custody at this time and police enquiries are continuing.
