Two suspects have pleaded not guilty following a suspected kidnapping incident in Bushey.

At St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, February 18, Kevin Ofori, 21, of Eldon Avenue, Borehamwood, and Abdoulie Jallow, 19, of Grosvenor Road, St Albans, denied charges of kidnap, dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

They have been remanded in custody ahead of a trial which is set to begin in St Albans on Monday, July 7.

At around 2.40pm on Thursday, January 16, officers received reports that a man was being threatened inside a Tesco Express on Harcourt Road.

They were subsequently informed that a 17-year-old male was reportedly assaulted on the corner of Moatfield Road and Harcourt Road before being put into a black Range Rover, which was then driven from the scene.

Officers attended and, with the help of colleagues from the National Police Air Service, tracked the vehicle travelling on Geddes Road in Bushey.

The vehicle was brought to a stop before the suspects fled the area, leaving the victim inside without serious injuries.
