Jagtar Singh Dhindsa, Labour’s candidate for the Watford mayoral election on May 3rd, has said he will do everything he can to help Watford FC get the proposed Graham Taylor statue built, if he wins the election in May.
Jagtar commented: “Graham Taylor, who died just over a year ago, was a legend and an inspiration to me, Watford supporters and football fans alike. I have supported our club for decades. It is fantastic that Watford FC is going to erect a statue of Graham at the ground.
Watford FC announced in February 2017 that it would commission a statue of Graham Taylor for the football ground in Vicarage Road. His legendary management of the club took them from the old Fourth Division to the First.
“Now in the Premier League, it’s appropriate that the foremost architect of Watford’s success is honoured in this way” Jagtar concluded.
