A mum from Pinner has turned her incredible weight loss success into a growing business.
Caroline Conway, has lost eight stone over the past two years and the results she has achieved have led her to setting up as a personal fitness trainer.
Caroline, 50, shared her story with MyPinnerNews.
She said: “I was chubby as a child and teenager and have struggled with weight all my life. At my heaviest I was 20 stone and a size 24. I was a yo-yo dieter, losing weight but then piling it back on.
“It’s only in the past two years that my mindset has changed and I no longer yo-yo diet and have managed to stay at a steady, healthy weight.
“A turning point for me was leaving the slimming club I was a member of and deciding to ‘go it alone’ but with the help of a personal trainer to get fit.”
Caroline’s positive experience with the personal trainer led her to take a course to become one.
She added: “The gym I attend offered the course and after a little bit of self doubt I eventually thought why not? And gave it a go.”
Now qualified Caroline is building up her own clientele list and feels she has a lot to share with women who are struggling with health, weight and fitness issues.
“I understand about being overweight having been there and I am still on the journey myself.
“I want women to come to me and not feel intimidated like I used to when going to the gym. If I can do it anyone can – it’s all about being positive, feeling healthy and making the most out of life.”
