A Northwood woman has been named as the capital’s hypnotherapist of the year at an awards ceremony held last month.
Kate Hoyle received the accolade at the London & South East Prestige Awards 2023/24, run by Corporate LiveWire.
Having previously worked in finance, Kate decided to leave her job and train to become a clinical hypnotherapist.
She sees clients both online and in therapy rooms in Ruislip. A large part of her work is supporting teenagers suffering with anxiety or low self-esteem.
This was inspired by her own experience of watching her daughter struggle with severe anxiety and depression. Despite engaging with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for years, nothing was working until they discovered hypnotherapy.
The awards ceremony was a proud moment for Kate as she was joined by her daughter, Nelly, when collecting the accolade.
Despite going through several difficult years, Nelly went on to attend university, where she gained a first-class degree in psychology. She is currently travelling solo around Australia.
