HOUSE FIRE: Emergency services called to ‘deliberate’ house fire in Kings Langley

Emergency services were called to a house blaze in Kings Langley that is believed to have started deliberately last month.

On Monday, October 17, Police and firefighters attended the incident at 2:30pm and forced the two-hour closure of Station Road while firefighters and police were called to the scene.

A spokesperson for Herts Police: “It was reported that a fire had broken out in a derelict building.

“Officers attended and road closures were put in place while the fire was put out.

“It is currently believed that the fire was started deliberately, and investigations are continuing.”

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue said: “Emergency services were called to Kings Langley yesterday (Monday, October 17) following reports of a fire in Station Road, Kings Langley.

“Five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform tackled a fire in the roof of a disused building. Firefighters were on scene from 2:25pm onwards.

“The fire was out by 4:15pm. Our fire investigation team then arrived at the scene, where they carried out an investigation into the cause of the fire.”
