Several brave souls will soon be taking on a fiery challenge for charity – by walking barefoot across burning coals!
Organised by the East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity, which raises funds for local hospitals including Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (MVCC) in Northwood, the event will take place at MVCC on White Hill on Saturday, March 9. The event starts at 6.30pm and will feature music, a raffle and refreshments.
Among those taking part is Katie, one of the charity’s ward clerks.
She said: “I wanted to challenge myself, and also raise funds to thank the centre for looking after my dad and my late husband.”
