More than 40 staff and students from Croxley Danes recently came together to participate in the school’s very first Pride Walk.
Students were encouraged to wear colourful accessories or bring flags to school to show their support for the LGBT+ community.
Kyle, from LGBT+ young people’s charity Just Like Us, attended and praised the school for its visible and powerful support for LGBT+ students.
He said: “It is always so special to be able to visit the schools that we work with and see how impactful LGBT+ inclusion is for both pupils and staff.
“It was fantastic to see the school community come together to show their support for their LGBT+ pupils in such a visible and powerful way.
“I was really grateful to be able to be part of the Pride Walk and see such warm support and active allyship from so many in the school community.”
Ms Tomarchio, who helped organise the walk, said: “I was very proud to witness our school’s first Pride Walk and see the warm participation of many students and staff.”
The school said: “It was wonderful to see the students come together, especially those who attended in support of their friends.”
