Hospice gets smart thanks to local funeral company

Published on: 15th February 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Local funeral company Haven Funeral Services of Northwood Hills has donated a brand new 49 inch Smart HD TV to Michael Sobell Hospice at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood.

The TV is for the family room at the Hospice where patients and their families can spend precious time together, and family members can spend the night to be with their loved ones.

Steve Thomas, Area Development Manager at Haven Funeral Services won the TV at a work conference recently and decided to donate it to a good cause.  He said: “We are delighted to support such a worthy local charity and we hope that the TV provides a nice distraction for patients and their families at a difficult time.”

Ursula Reeve, Head of Palliative Care said: “The TV will make a big difference to our patients and their families, and will bring a little bit of “home” to the Hospice. We are really grateful to Haven for thinking of us and for this lovely donation.”
