HOME WIN: Chalfont St Peter win 2-1 against Chertsey Town

After the past three loses, Chalfont St Peter took back the reigns by winning 2-1 against Chertsey Town FC today (November 9). 

It was a slow start but he Saints took an early lead in the 25th minute with a goal from midfielder Alex Yearwood. 

The Saints didn’t have much time to celebrate with Chertsey Town scoring their first goal just minutes after. 

There was nothing to separate the sides at the break. 

It took under 10 minutes of the second half for the Saints to regain the lead as forward Dan Williams scored the team’s second and final goal in the 54th minute. 

The team thanked the fans for coming out by tweeting: “Thanks very much for your support today in very difficult conditions. Excellent result. Safe journey home.”

Chalfont St Peter AFC are currently seventh in the South Central Division table and are set to play Bracknell Town FC at home next week on November 12.
