HIGH HOPES: Abbots Langley Cricket Club hopeful of successful and full season

Abbots Langley Cricket Club are still hopeful of a positive full season this year, despite having not been able to open their ground for a number of months.

A statement on the club’s website read: “During the lockdown restrictions, the club is working very hard in the hope we can have a full season this year. We managed to operate last year within reason, with two senior teams playing a half season in the time allowed.

“I hope everyone returns to the club this year, as I know many of you opted out last year which I totally understand.”

The club’s committee have however managed to appoint the team’s captains for the year.

Club chairman Phil Lewins has also urged anyone who would like to step forward and assist the club to get in touch click here.

There are roles including, being on the committee, or a more unofficial role such as umpiring and taking attendance registers.
