Abbots Langley Cricket Club are still hopeful of a positive full season this year, despite having not been able to open their ground for a number of months.
A statement on the club’s website read: “During the lockdown restrictions, the club is working very hard in the hope we can have a full season this year. We managed to operate last year within reason, with two senior teams playing a half season in the time allowed.
“I hope everyone returns to the club this year, as I know many of you opted out last year which I totally understand.”
The club’s committee have however managed to appoint the team’s captains for the year.

There are roles including, being on the committee, or a more unofficial role such as umpiring and taking attendance registers.
