The woods behind Kings Langley Common have received a much needed touch up to remove fallen tree debris and branches at risk of falling.
Dacorum Borough Council completed the work amidst the recent wet weather and the woods are now suitable for everyone to enjoy this coming spring.
Kings Langley Parish Council councillor Alan Johnson said: “Over the last few years an awful lot of trees have been falling down or in risk of falling down. It’s taken us a couple of years to get Dacorum to have a look at it.
“They agreed that they needed to do some work up there so finally given the COVID situation over the past year they went up there and in fairness to them they’ve done a really nice job.
“They’ve cleared the main pathway so hopefully we get some nice weather in the spring for people to enjoy it.”
The council hope to make the woods a more welcoming environment by adding places for people to sit and enjoy the woods.
