Pupils from an Abbots Langley school were treated to a surprise visit from the school’s very own superheroes recently.
Parents from Abbots Langley Primary School, many of whom were key workers during the pandemic, visited the school dressed in their work uniforms for the school’s first Heroes Day.
Throughout the day pupils were treated to workshops and talks from parents who gave an insight into what it was like to be a ‘hero’.
Speaking to AbbotsNews, headteacher Mrs Negrello, said they are extremely grateful to the parents who gave up their time on the day.
She said: “The children were so shocked when they arrived in the morning. The heroes went to visit the children in each classroom for a workshop where they talked about how they protect or support people in the community.
“It was a very exciting day, but it also had a very strong message of what these people do for the community.”
