HELPING HAND: Residents turn out for Watford community engagement event

Published on: 19th June 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Officers from the Watford North Safer Neighbourhood Team held a community engagement event in Foxhill last weekend, in conjunction with the fire service, Watford Borough Council and Watford Community Housing.

Local residents were invited down on Saturday, June 11, to meet with their local officers, hear about our positive action work and recruitment opportunities, as well as meet representatives from partner organisations.

It was an opportunity for residents to have their say on what they think we should be focusing on in terms of police and partnership activity, and what could be done to help them feel safer.

PC Brad Webber, who organised the event, said: “It was great to meet so many people on Saturday, and get some valuable insight in terms of what we can focus on over the coming months in the Foxhill and Brush Rise area to make people feel safer. The information we gathered will help to inform our patrol plans and the priorities we should be focusing on over the coming months.

“We’re always listening, and if you were unable to make the event this weekend you can still use our community voice platform ‘echo’ to share your views about what you think we should be focusing on in Watford. All feedback is anonymous, so please ensure to include details if you’re referencing a specific area. Simply visit bit.ly/police-watford and tell us your thoughts.

“To see what we’re getting up to across Watford, and to receive information and alerts regarding upcoming events and campaigns, you can follow our Facebook and Twitter accounts.”
