HER GAME TOO: Kings Langley Football Club announces partnership with inclusivity campaign

Published on: 23rd July 2023   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Kings Langley Football Club has partnered with Her Game Too in a bid to promote inclusivity in the sport.

The club announced the partnership with the campaign last month to improve accessibility and diversity in the sport.

Founded in May 2021, Her Game Too is a voluntary campaign led by a team of dedicated female football fans who are passionate about creating positive change in football and the wider sporting world.

The partnership follows the club’s commitment to expanding the girl’s youth section, sponsored by local company Marlowe Digital, and hopes to continue this expansion.

Speaking about the new partnership, club community engagement officer Dean Wigzell, who also coaches the Under 11 Girls Team, said the partnership has been a long-term goal for the club.

He said: “I am delighted to launch this partnership with Her Game Too, it’s been something we’ve wanted to do for a while and after the recent growth of our girls section and the upcoming Women’s World Cup it felt like the perfect time to consolidate our commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all females, be that through playing, coaching or supporting our first team.”

As part of the partnership Her Game Too branding will appear around The Orbital Fasteners Stadium, a club champion will be appointed and a dedicated Her Game Too 1st team fixture will soon be announced.
