A Chalfont St Peter dance academy will represent the East of England at a national festival.
PWA Pips Dance Academy will represent the East of England at One Dance UK’s U.Dance National Festival this month, the largest event of its kind.
The annual festival, held in Liverpool from July 13 to 14 as CHALFONTS&GERRARDSCROSSnews goes to print, offers young dancers the opportunity to showcase their talent on a professional stage.
PWA Pips Dance Academy have been selected from thousands to take part in the festival.
The academy is an audition-only street performance squad that competes and performs across the country. It was formed in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Scott and Pippa.
Pippa said: “We are overjoyed to have been chosen to represent our region at the U.Dance National Festival as we feel it is a great opportunity to not only showcase what we do, but also to see lots of fantastic dancers performing their unique styles and to take part in a wide range of workshops. We are so excited.”
This year, leading arts organisations in the region, including the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Liverpool Everyman Theatre, and LMA Liverpool, are supporting the festival.
