A man has appeared in court on Wednesday, June 13 accused of murdering his brother.
The body of 55 year old John Martin was found at his home in Malmes Croft, Hemel Hempstead on Monday, June 11 by police officers who had gone to the property following reports of concerns for his welfare.
Inside the house, they found the body of Mr Martin.
On Wednesday, Richard Martin, 53, the brother of the dead man, appeared at Hatfield Remand Court charged with his murder.
Mr Martin, of Barley Croft in Hemel Hempstead, spoke only to confirm his date of birth and address.
The charge was then put to him that between June 6 and June 11 he murdered his brother John.
He wasn’t required to enter a plea to the charge and will next appear at Luton Crown Court later this week, where his trial will be held later this year.
He was remanded in custody.
