A Northwood estate agent has made his on-screen debut when the makers of the popular Homes under the Hammer TV show asked for his input earlier this month (June).
Michael Beaumont, who is the Valuations Manager for Gibbs Gillespie in Northwood, was filmed giving his opinion on a property project following a recommendation to the programme’s producers from a client.
The show which attracts around 1.5 million viewers per episode features experts estimating what price properties will go for when auctioned.
Michael, who has worked for Gibbs Gillespie for 18 months said: “The production company contacted us and asked if we would be interested in being involved in the show because a client I had been looking after told them about a deal we helped him with.
“It involved a land purchase and subsequently building a chalet bungalow on that land. The producers of the show interviewed me on camera at the site to find out what I thought was an achievable and realistic price.
“It was a fun experience, but I don’t expect Hollywood to come knocking on our office door any time soon.”
The show will be broadcast later this year.
