Two men have been arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with an incident that happened in Rickmansworth. The incident occurred in the Card Factory store in Rickmansworth’s High Street around 1.30pm on Friday, December 6. The victim, a 73-year-old man, had his wallet stolen. Following enquiries made by the police, two men were later arrested; one on Saturday, December 7 and the other on Tuesday, December 10. Daniel Davidson, 28, of Hollickwood Avenue, Barnet, was charged with theft. John Ireland, 45, of Summerfields Avenue, Barnet, was charged with theft. Davidson was released on bail and is due to appear at Central Herts Magistrates Court on December 20. Ireland was granted bail and is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates Court on January 27. Detective Sergeant Andy Wiseman said: “This incident highlights how important it is to be aware of your personal property, such as your wallet, purse and phone, and be vigilant of people who are around you. “We are currently carrying out proactive patrols in the Rickmansworth area and I would urge people to report any unusual or suspicious behaviour to the police.”
