HELPING OUT: People in need in Garston kept fed thanks to One Vision Project

Published on: 10th June 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Volunteers at One Vision Project at Stanborough Centre, in Garston, have been feeding hot meals to the needy in the community for the past 11 weeks.

They have also been working with schools to ensure the children that would be having free meals are receiving a hot meal daily and a bag of groceries.

Teachers have been helping out with the project throughout the crisis by collecting meals and groceries and distributing them amongst the children.

Enoch Kanagaraj, chairman of One Vision Project, said: “I am thrilled by everyone coming together to support the needy during the COVID19 crisis. Our aim is to build a stronger community in the town, bringing communities together to fight this pandemic.

“Thank you to our chefs who are cooking all these hot meals daily for us, to our team of volunteers who are delivering hot meals, to everyone packing groceries and delivering to people in the community.

“Also thank you to our youth volunteers who are assisting us in the many daily tasks.”

One Vision Project is also supported by several Watford councillors, the elected mayor of Watford – Peter Taylor, Dean Russell MP and the high sheriff who regularly delivers meals to both schools and community.
