The story of the famous medieval legend George and the Dragon will be re-told on Saturday, April 26 in The Hall at St Johns Church, Hallowell Road, Northwood. garlic_george_003Northwood Community Arts proudly presents two performances of the family theatre show (on the week end after St George’s day) by the ever popular Garlic Theatre for audiences aged five to 105. Mark Pitman and Iklooshar Malara of Garlic Theatre have created a new, fresh and innovative dramatisation of the age old story of St George and his battle to challenge the fiery dragon and save the princess and other characters.  Will George be a man of courage bold or will he feel too intimidated by the task? This interpretation of George and the Dragon will include live performance, puppetry, masks and music; delivered with creativity and flair by the two Garlic Theatre puppeteers who both devised and deliver the show together.   Tickets to see George and the Dragon (running time 45 minutes) at 11.30am and 2.30pm are available and cost £7.50 for adults and children or £28 for a family group of four.
