Students at Heathrow Aviation Engineering UTC in Northwood collected their exam results yesterday (Thursday, 16th) as they joined thousands of others across the country receiving their A-level and BTEC results.
Students left with smiles on their faces as they looked forward to studying further at university.
Birajith Baskaran from Southall celebrated after achieving one starred Distinction and two Distinctions (D*DD) in BTEC Level 3 Engineering and he also got an A-level in maths.
He hopes to become an aerospace engineer and said: “I feel delighted and happy.”
Jamie Sargusingh from Harrow achieved three Distinctions (DDD) in BTEC Level 3 Engineering. He will be heading to Exeter University to study mechanical engineering MEng.
He says: “I feel great, I couldn’t be happier. All the stress and anxiety have suddenly left me, now I can move on with life.”
Lubi Sundaralingam, originally from Paris, achieved Distinctions (DDD) in BTEC Level 3 Engineering and is now heading to Coventry University to study mechanical engineering.
Lubi said he feels “very good and proud” about his results and is planning to celebrate by going out with his family.
Principal of Heathrow UTC Wayne Edwards said: “Congratulations to all our students. They are heading for some fantastic careers and we wish them every success.”
