Beaumont School in St Albans has announced it has been judged ‘outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted, following a recent inspection.
Inspectors praised the school’s curriculum, teaching, and strong academic outcomes. They commended the attitudes and behaviour of students, highlighting their maturity, respect, and sense of belonging within a safe and supportive environment.
The headteacher Martin Atkinson said: “This outcome is a testament to the hard work, passion and dedication of staff, students, trustees and the wider school community.
“The report captures the heart of Beaumont – a school where our shared vision for students to ‘enjoy and excel’ enables them to go far beyond academic results, and ensures that students are supported to become active, caring and confident citizens.”
Ofsted also recognised the range of personal development opportunities available at Beaumont, including student leadership roles and a strong culture of service. The inspection team noted how well students are prepared for their next steps and celebrated the inclusive nature of the Sixth Form.
