In the wake of Beppe Sannino’s shock departure from Watford Football Club, plenty of names have been linked with the hotseat. The hot favourite for the job is ex Brighton manager, Oscar Garcia, who got the Seagulls into the playoffs last season but they unfortunately lost to Derby County in the semi finals. Garcia has proven experience of the Championship and his style of play is exactly the way the Pozzos want to see football played. Other candidates for the job include ex Chelsea and West Bromwich Albion manager, Roberto Di Matteo. Due to his Italian roots, Di Matteo would no doubt be a popular appointment and his success at a higher level would stand him in good stead. Chris Hughton is another name who has been linked and having won the Championship with Newcastle in 2010, he knows this league very well and would be a shrewd appointment if placed in charge. However, at odds of 1/7, Garcia looks as though he is likely to take charge at Vicarage Road in the coming days. Who would you like to see take over? E-mail nicholas@mynewsmag.co.uk
