If you take the bus regularly to work, town or even school, then this may be the update you need this September.
Last month, passengers across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire said goodbye to the single ‘Orbit’ fare zone and welcomed the arrival of two dedicated zones.
The new arrangement introduces the Beds and Bucks zone and the Hertfordshire zone, both designed to better reflect the distinct travel patterns within these areas.
Passengers who regularly cross zone boundaries need not worry, as the changes are aimed at making ticketing clearer and more tailored to local needs.
A spokesperson for Arriva Bus Company South said: “The ongoing efforts will allow commuters and casual travellers to navigate the region’s bus network efficiently. There will be no changes to ticket prices linked to this update.
“For example, the cost of a day ticket will remain the same before and after Sunday, August 31.”
