Barton Way Allotments in Croxley will be holding an open morning this month, offering newcomers the chance to take a peek at the 150 plots tucked away behind Croxley Library on Community Way.
Between 10am and 12.30pm on Saturday, July 13, there will be plants for sale, a taster table, a table-top of treasure to hunt and refreshments galore. Fingers crossed there will also be a table of fresh produce for visitors to admire!
Treasurer of the Barton Way Allotment Association Tim Osler explained: “This is an annual event for the allotment, and attracts many visitors who can have a chance to have a tour of the allotment site and discuss all things growing, what it takes to cultivate an allotment plot, and growing things in general. It is a real community event for Croxley Green.”
Secretary Janet Tublin added: “Allotments have become even more popular since COVID-19 and we look forward to welcoming people to our site.”
