Two colleagues from the Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have been honoured at the national Ethnic Minorities into Leadership Awards.
Held at London’s De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms on Wednesday, November 27, Hyder Mohammad and Rajesh Bhalla scooped two of the top awards.
Hyder, the trust’s sustainability lead, won the Emerging Leader of the Year Award and Rajesh, the trust’s head of clinical engineering, was named the winner of the Team Leader of the Year Award.
Steve Wedgwood, the trust’s director of operational estates and facilities, said: “This is such a great achievement for them both, recognising their leadership abilities and standing as a great example to the other staff we have from ethnic minorities aspiring to a leadership role.
“We’ll be adding the trophies to an already bulging awards cabinet in the estates and facilities departmental offices!”
The annual awards celebrate the contributions of ethnic minorities across the public sector and honour them for their achievements.
