Officers investigating a burglary in Hemel Hempstead are trying to trace a woman who may have witnessed the offender leaving the scene.

The incident occurred at an address in Briery Way, between 12.45pm and 1.15pm on Friday, August 19.

It was reported that keys to a white Ford Transit van had been taken from within the property, before the van, which contained tools worth thousands of pounds, was taken from outside.

Enquiries in the area have established that a woman was walking past the address at the time and may have seen the person driving off in the van.

The woman had dark hair and was wearing dark coloured clothing.

Investigating officers are keen to trace this lady, as she may have vital information to assist in identifying the suspect. If you believe this may have been you, please get in touch.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone else who may have information which could help enquiries.

Information can be reported online at the Hertfordshire Constabulary website, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number 41/67048/22

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
