The Watford Phil Voices brought joy to locals during a dementia-friendly event in Croxley on Friday, November 8.
The Croxley Green Parish Nurses’ event at Croxley Green Baptist Church focused on local people living with dementia and their carers.
The 16-person chorus performed a mix of jazzy works such as In the Mood and I Got Rhythm, as well as a medley of songs from The Beatles.
After a break for tea and cake, the Voices also led the audience in singing some old favourites including Bring Me Sunshine and Magic Moments.
Member of Watford Phil Voices Brian Thomson said: “It was lovely for us all to see the audience connecting with the music, smiling, singing or clapping along. We all really enjoyed sharing music making with the group and seeing the pleasure it brought to our audience.”
Watford Phil Voices is a small chorus of members from the Watford Philharmonic Society, Hertfordshire’s oldest and largest choral society.
