A man from Chalfont St Peter took on epic exercise challenge in November to raise funds for inspirational teenager, Archie Hill.
Tim Ansell targeted 10,000 abdominal sit-up crunches throughout November in a bid to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).
He was inspired to take on the challenge in a bid to support Archie, who is also from Chalfont St Peter, as he continues to bravely fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Tim used an online PT instructor and broke the targeted down into 15 x 23 per minute bursts.
Tim said: “Through friends of my wife and I, we attended a fundraiser for Archie’s family who explained the challenges of raising a child with Muscular Dystrophy.
“Since that day and due to several coincidences, Ive become friends with the family and thats inspired me to begin fund raising for MDUK.
“MDUK is an amazing charity that supports thousands of individuals and families and were delighted to do our bit to help.”
Louise Moffatt, regional development manager at MDUK, said: “We are immensely impressed at Tim’s dedication to raising much-needed funds for Muscular Dystrophy UK and wish him all the best of luck as he crunches his way towards his £2,000 target.
“We are also hugely grateful that Tim’s company has announced MDUK as its official partner, a move that will help the charity recoup vital funds lost amid the ongoing pandemic.”
Tim’s business, FOC Audit, will also be donating 10 per cent of its profit to MDUK.
