A Garston football club have capped off an incredible year with a donation to charity.
Everett Rovers FC have had an extraordinary 12 months, with the highlight being the opening of their new 3G football pitch in August.
Now, the club have donated a considerable number of goalposts and football kits to KitAid.
KitAid is a charity that supports disadvantaged children from across the world, inspired by founder Derrick Williams MBE’s trip to Tanzania with WaterAid in 1998. Derrick, amazed at the friendliness shown to him by those in remote villages just because he was wearing a football shirt, decided to set up KitAid to provide kits and equipment to those who love the beautiful game.
Elsewhere in the club, work is continuing on the clubhouse expansion, funded by a £3million grant given to Everett Rovers in October. This expansion will provide an office, extra storage, and an extension to the members’ bar.
