Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) were delighted to meet and support Radio 1 DJ Jamie Laing during his ultra-marathon challenge last month, as he ran through St Albans.
Jamie hoped to complete five ultra-marathons in five days to raise money for Comic Relief.
On Monday, March 17, HIT staff and members set up at The Ancient Briton Harvester on Harpenden Road, and welcomed Jamie with costumes, props and a variety of musical instruments.
Ellie Short, HIT’s creative participation manager, said: “It was great fun for all the participants and team to come together on this exciting day, raise awareness for the brilliant Comic Relief, say hello to and have a boogie with Jamie Laing.”
Jamie completed the challenge on Friday, March 21, having raised an astonishing £2,260,547.
HIT is a charity that uses the arts and theatre to improve the wellbeing of individuals, particularly children and young people, and those who are disadvantaged or disabled. They offer inclusive activities, workshops, and outreach programs.
