A man was rushed to a major trauma centre after falling 20 feet from Queensbury Station Parade.
Videos widely circulated on social media show crowds congregating outside Queensbury Station to celebrate India’s win in the T20 World Cricket Championships on Saturday, June 29.
However, celebration turned to horror when a man attempting to fix a flag of India to the top of a pole fell from a height, smacking against a large concrete slab before landing on the ground.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.36pm on Saturday, June 29, to reports of an incident on Queensbury Station Parade.
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
