Croxley residents will soon be able to add extra flavour to their home-cooked meals thanks to a local eco group’s new herb garden.
The group at St Oswald’s Church, on Malvern Way, say that the herbs grown in the church grounds will be ready from June onwards.
Eco group member Magdalena Pletsch said: “Herbs are so easy and quick to grow – all you need is top soil mixed with peat-free compost.
“Children love to visit with their parents and watch the herbs grow and then play around the raised bed. It’s a free resource for the community and we’ll be signposting it more when the herbs are established.”
The garden is one of a series of environmental activities run by St Oswald’s this year. This includes installing a water butt and creating a permanent children’s nature trail. For more information, please email admin@stoswaldschurch.org.uk
