The Co-op supermarket on Watford Road, Croxley, has raised more than £10,000 for three local charities.
The money was raised through the store’s Local Causes scheme, which sees the company donate two pence for every pound Co-op members spend on selected own-brand products and services.
This year’s chosen charities include Short Breaks @ West Hyde, which provides residential breaks for young people with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Another is Bury Lake Young Mariners, a youth sailing charity based at Rickmansworth Aquadrome.
The third cause is the Colne Valley Special Sailors, who make sailing accessible, inexpensive and fun for people with disabilities by using special boats and equipment.
The three charities all recently visited the shop to celebrate the scheme raising a total of £10,379 during the last year.
