The Radlett Choir have an exciting year ahead as they close their 65th year since being established with their annual Christmas concert.
Previously known as the Radlett Choral Society, the choir have plans to relaunch not only their name, but their website in 2020.
Attendee, Aileen Tse, told Radlett News: “I only moved here a few years ago and when I heard about the choir, I was so hesitant to join, walking into something where you don’t know anyone can be really daunting, but they were so kind and welcoming.
“It’s a very warm and friendly group with a real sense of camaraderie. For some members, the choir has been a core part of their community life for decades.
“For me, having only recently moved to the area, it gave an opportunity to get involved in the local community, and helped to make Radlett my home.”
The choir sings a wide variety of music, ranging from wonderful classical works, to operatic, folk and contemporary pieces.
The next concerts the choir have in the works for next year are Glorious Baroque taking place in May, Come and Sing in June and British Mystics in November.
The choir, led by Alex Flood, rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7.46pm to 10pm at the Radlett United Free Church.
