FOND FAREWELL: Pinner residents share tributes to community hero and healer

Published on: 12th May 2024   |   By: Panayiota Demosthenous   |   Category: Uncategorized

Pinner residents have shared their tributes to beloved local cabbie and dedicated healer, Steve Sharpe, who passed away on April 9.

Patricia Geminder, from the Pinner Healing Centre, told Pinnernews: “Steve had been ill with cancer for some time and had been determined to overcome the challenge with the power of healing in addition to his medical care – and lived much longer than expected in the circumstances.

“He even gave healing to the nurses whilst in hospital. Steve was truly a giant in the healing world.”

Steve has been helping the community in Pinner and beyond with their health problems for more than 35 years. He launched the Pinner Healing Centre in 1989 and ran it together with other volunteers every Thursday afternoon.

Patricia continued: “His cheerful presence was always a delight at the centre. The healers will continue the centre, as Steve would have wished, and will give their time and expertise voluntarily.”

The Pinner Healing Centre is open on Thursday afternoons between 2pm and 4.30pm.
