FITNESS FRENZY: March events to raise vital funds for Radlett school

Published on: 17th February 2021   |   By: Geraint Roberts   |   Category: Uncategorized

St John’s Infant and Nursery School in Radlett are hosting a Fitness Frenzy fundraiser throughout March in an attempt to raise more vital funds for school equipment.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening the St John’s Parents and Friends Association will be running a different event to help people’s fitness during lockdown, which will cover a wide range of activities including yoga, core strength and some more intense activities.

The events are open to the whole community, not just those with a connection to the school, and they are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the school.

Richard Packman, the chair of the PFA, said: “The money is so important to the School, as we are fundraising to help them replace all their very old technology such as laptops, iPads and interactive whiteboards.

“This is super important now more than ever, especially as the schools are closed, to ensure that all children from all backgrounds are able to access the online learning, and to ensure the school is able to deliver the best education for our children regardless of whether the school is allowed to be open or closed.”

There will be special guests hosting the different events, including Katie Waissel (pictured left), a former X Factor contestant who owns a health and fitness space called The Shed.

Also hosting an event will be the owners of Watford-based, multi-award-winning body transformation, FitStart UK (pictured right).

Each session costs £5 to attend, or you can purchase an unlimited ticket for £35.
