A Leavesden resident has spoken of his concerns over the approved expansion of Warner Bros. Studios.
In December of last year, Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) ratified plans that will see new sound stages, workshops, and production and post-production offices added to the site, along with a new roundabout to provide vehicular access to the studios and the construction of decked car parking.
Resident Steve Cowin has expressed concerns about the studios’ growth.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, he said: “My concern about the development is the gradual increase in green belt land being granted for use by the studios for their expansion programme by TRDC.
“It appears that any expansion the studios propose is accepted.
“TRDC has said the green belt land by Old Mill Lane would be enhanced as a wildlife habitat area, but my question is, how safe is this from future expansion requests from the studios?”
TRDC and Warner Bros. have been contacted for comment.
