A whole host of public figures and authors are coming to Chorleywood this month for a variety of exciting events.
Former Labour minister Alan Johnson will visit Chorleywood Library on Tuesday, April 9, to talk about his new detective fiction book Death on the Thames.
Following him will be trail-blazing stand-up Helen Lederer, whose new non-fiction book Not That I’m Bitter tells the story of what it was like to be a female comedian in a male-dominated industry. She will visit Chorleywood Memorial Hall on Monday, April 15.
On Tuesday, April 16, Jack Cornish of the Ramblers Association will visit Chorleywood Library to talk about his new book The Lost Paths. Then, founder of the feminist Silver Moon bookshop Jane
Cholmeley will host a discussion at Chorleywood Bookshop about her new memoir on Thursday, April 18.
Other events include a talk with gardening guru Frances Tophill on Monday, April 29, and a talk with historian Robert Hutton on Tuesday, April 30.
