Film lovers should attend a special concert next month when the Hemel Symphony Orchestra (HSO) will be celebrating some of the silver screen’s best-known composers.
After performing their first ever concert in March, the orchestra will be performing in Kings Langley next month.
The evening is a program of film music, ideal for all the family.
The orchestra’s conductor, Claudio di Meo described the concert as “a special celebration of the cinematic achievements of Oscar-winning composers John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and many more.
“It will be an experience of a live symphony orchestra playing some of the most emotive scores in cinematic history, accompanying video clips of the films they were created for. Highlights include: Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, The Mission, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Superman, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more.”
Ideal for newcomers to classical music, as well as confirmed music lovers everyone is invited to enjoy a magical afternoon of wonderful music.
Movie Magic is at the Rudolph Steiner School in Kings Langley on June 16 at 3.30pm.
