Police hunting a man who is wanted for allegedly raping a woman in Watford and abducting two other women have made an arrest.
Cheshire Police confirmed that the man was Joseph McCann, 34, who is suspected of abducting and raping a woman in Watford at knifepoint on April 21 and also abducting and raping two other women in London four days later.
Officers were called after two women were allegedly forced into a car in the Cheshire town last night (Sunday).
Police gave chase after they spotted the car. After it hit another vehicle, the driver fled.
Police arrested McCann after he tried to escape by climbing a tree.
