An “exciting proposal” could see a new play area created in Millbrook Green in Bushey.
The farm-themed play park will provide new equipment for local children up to the age of six. It will feature all-weather surfaces and will be bordered by banks of wildflowers.
According to Hertsmere Borough Council (HBC), the building of the park will be funded by £120,000 from Community Infrastructure Levies paid by developers and not council tax.
HBC also stated that “there is currently a lack of play facilities in North Bushey”.
As the site is already an important place of recreation and borders many residential properties, HBC sought residents’ views on the plan.
Councillor Chris Myers, HBC’s cabinet member for street scene, parks, leisure and culture, said: “Myself and your local ward representatives, councillors Alan Matthews, Louise Nicolas and Paul Richards, support the need for a new play area in North Bushey and I am pleased to show you the design for Millbrook Green.”
