All the data collected from residents of The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross from the 2021 Census has now been released.
In all areas – named as Chalfont St Peter West; Chalfont Common and St Peter East; Little Chalfont; Chalfont St Giles, Seer Green and Jordans; and Gerrards Cross – an overwhelming majority of residents identified as heterosexual, at more than 90 per cent.
The number of gay, lesbian and bisexual residents was below one per cent in all areas.
Between 77 and 82 per cent of people in the villages stated that they lived in houses/bungalows rather than apartments, flats or mobile homes. Between 18 and 21 per cent of residents stated they were either school pupils or students.
Gerrards Cross was the area which had the highest number of people with degree-level qualifications or above, while Chalfont St Giles, Seer Green and Jordans was the area with the highest number of people with GCSEs or A Levels as their highest qualification level.
