A local independent school in St Albans has introduced a new four plus entry point for Reception pupils for the first time in the school’s history.
Based in Park Street, Habs Boys Pre-Prep provides a charming, safe environment for its youngest children to thrive, with ample outdoor space.
The school will begin admitting new pupils into its four plus classes in 2022.
The decision to launch a four plus entry point at Habs Boys is part of the school’s long term strategy to ensure a seamless start to life at Habs, relieving pressure on families facing the disruption of moving their child into Year 1.
Gus Lock, headmaster at Habs Boys, explained: “I am absolutely delighted that we are now in a position to offer entry from Reception.
“It is an important moment in our history as we now become a 4-18 years through-school. In doing so, we have also aligned our entry points with Habs Girls as part of our 10-year strategy to provide a coherent and consistent offering to our families. I very much look forward to welcoming our first Reception cohort in September 2021.”
It is also a very exciting time for the Habs Elstree campus as the school has ambitious plans to build a bespoke, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly Pre-Prep building in near future, bringing the pre-prep facilities onto the main Elstree school site.
Matteo Rossetti, head of preparatory school at Habs Boys, added: “We are thrilled to be creating these new Reception classes. Pupils and families will be able to embark on their educational journey with us at four plus and to become immediately part of a vibrant and exciting community. I cannot wait to meet our newest and youngest pupils in the next academic year.”
The school is accepting applications for all points of entry, including four plus. Registrations will close on November 19, 2021 for September 2022 entry.
