It’s the end of an era as a nursery in Hemel Hempstead has been sold to new owners.
Moor End Farm Day Nursery, in London Road, Boxmoor, was launched nearly 30 years ago by husband-and-wife team Sherryl and Mac McMichael, who have now retired.
Sherryl launched the nursery after previously running a thriving childminding business.
The pair have sold the business, which cared for children aged three months to five years, to Kindred Nurseries, one of the UK’s leading nursery groups.

“Sherryl and Mac’s passion was evident from the start. They were keen to know that the nursery would continue to be looked after and further developed.
