A foraging event in Chorleywood later this month will teach attendees how to identify ingredients you can safely eat in the British countryside.
Taking place at Chorleywood House Estate from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, July 30, the event will offer an introduction to the world of foraging. The focus will be on the four Fs: fungi, fruit, flowers and foliage.
Journey along a circular walking route while taking a closer look at edible wild species and any poisonous lookalikes with a professional forager. Taste freshly picked items straight from the wild, meet new people, and reconnect with nature. You will also have the chance to ask any questions or make your own contributions.
The event is organised by Forage Box, which aims to help people source food from somewhere other than their local supermarket, as well as offering the chance to try new and unique flavours.
All are welcome, regardless of age, ability, gender or ethnicity. To buy tickets, visit www.t.ly/xo-Yi
