New landlords have been found for a popular Chorleywood pub following several months of searching.
Greene King, operators of The White Horse, have confirmed to CHORLEYWOODnews that they have a new partner who will taking over in the new year, though their identity has yet to be confirmed.
The well-known venue has been part of village life since 1772, and the building still retains many of its original features.
Previous landlords Lisa and Richie announced their departure from the role in August, after five years in charge, stating that trade hadn’t picked up following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following residents’ fears about the possible closure of the pub, Greene King allayed residents’ concerns.
A spokesperson said at the time: “We fully intend to keep The White Horse pub open as we know it is loved by the local community.”
Recently, the pub has opened only on weekends, remaining closed on weekdays.
