A new initiative has been launched to protect and unite Northwood businesses.
The aim of Northwood Business Watch is to reduce business crime and anti-social behaviour, making the area safer for both residents and workers.
The scheme comes fresh off the back of a successful Pub Watch group, where pub owners and staff are able to communicate via a WhatsApp group and warn each other if problems arise, such as an incident of theft or unpleasant behaviour.
Business Watch will also allow collaboration with the Northwood Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), Hillingdon Neighbourhood Watch, and Northwood Residents’ Association.
Hoda Lacey, of the Northwood Police Ward Panel, said: “Business Watch is the first step towards businesses and residents taking care of themselves.
“Business Watch will work closely with our local SNT to detect, deter and apprehend those who are displaying criminal and anti-social behaviour.
“Northwood residents will not tolerate anti-social behaviour which affects our community.”
