Students at a Stanmore school recently took part in mock interviews with employers from organisations as varied as Transport for London and McLaren.
Park High School students completed a preparation programme, including writing a CV, ahead of the event on Wednesday, November 16, and were also taught good interview techniques and etiquette.
Students were then given 30 minute face-to-face or virtual interviews with the employers, who provided feedback and advice.
The companies involved included AutoTrader, Microsoft, Barclays, Amazon, Transport for London, the Home Office, the Cabinet Office, the Metropolitan Police, and more.
Employers stated that they were impressed with the students, who asked good questions and seemed interested and engaged throughout.
A spokesperson for the school said: “It was fabulous to welcome back alumni who also supported the event. During the day, students had a 30-minute face-to-face or virtual interview, followed by valuable feedback on their performance and CV.”
